And the battle system looks very KHII-like. I know I saw some reaction commands in there.

Well it's gonna take place sometime after the Keyblade Wars, but before KH1, meaning the secret ending to KHII wasn't for KHIII, but BbS. Squeenix is also officially making this game part of the actual KH canon unlike CoM and 358/2 Days where they conveniently retcon themselves out of the plot for the most part.

But if its before KH1....how is Roxas there? Sora hasn't been split yet.

According to some sources, that's not Roxas, but I think this character is somehow incorporated into Sora's past since someone somewhere mentioned that you'd get to see the Destiny Island trio as little kids, so I imagine this character's visit to DI will have some impact on Sora much to the extent that it affects the form of his Nobody.

That's what I'm theorizing at least.

Hm. Well, it seems like he wold have to be related by blood (father, long lost brother, etc.) for him to have Roxas stemming out of him. Or rather even, Roxas, and Namine, are his and Kairi's children later on that time warp backwards.

lol. Well, if they make it fan-girl oriented, it might actually be worth something.
Unlike X-2 where they made it to draw in women that weren't gamers, just to make money.
If they can make a game to get more loyal fangirls, then I'd approve of it.

Though, from what I've seen....it just looks more like milking the series.

Well, CoM was also canon because if you played KHII after KHI and didn't play CoM, you wouldn't know how Sora got into that pod, now would ya In any case, I'll play it when I play it; it probably won't have too much more of a profound effect on me than any other KH game.

There's confusion in that statement...
At least for me it was Confusion Incarnate until I read it again. Though if you suddenly add the ability to time travel and/or time compression, then that theory is completely acceptable. I'm sure KH is going to read your statement and make it a reality in future installments.

Honestly, knowing KH, they're gonna throw some sort of utterly weird curve-ball of an asspull and massacre the storyline or throw something in there.
That whole Zion thing from KH: 358/2 Days with the connection plot-twist with her that just embodied Mind Screw just...started killing brain cells for no reason.
