Mwahahahaahahaaaa! I beat Crosell! And I cheated! The Boots of Prowess thing wasn't working for me, cause I couldn't make them. So I went with the next best thing...getting better weapons and praying that he wouldn't kill me.

Aparently, if you defeat Albel in battle when you go to get him in the second disk, you get Boots of Prowess...but...I sorta, kinda, got him already. It was a choice between Nel and Albel and somehow--I got Albel. I don't know what I did to deserve that.

I beat him with no damage and less than a minute...his first form, at least.

You mean the Shrine of Kadan? That's where I'm at now and it's on the second disk. Trying to get the Sacred Orb and stuff.

I'm scared, because I don't have good memories of that place...

In order to get Albel instead of Nel by disc 2, you have to sleep in the Peterny Inn after Albel joins your party at the end of disc 1. There should be a cutscene to follow. Just say "Not really" and he's yours for disc 2. I think the only other method is to have Nel hate you a whole fecking lot or something, but I'm not sure about the second way though.

I think I found it in one of the rooms that you can only get to with the ring of disintegration. That, or under one of the piles of rubble.

That might have been how I got my boots of prowess early.....but I think you have to beat Crosell first, eh?

I doubt the ladder, since I managed to piss everyone off on my easy mode file, since I got the ending alone. T_T

Getting the Fayt Only ending doesn't mean you've pissed everyone off, it's more like no one liked you enough. There's a difference you know.

It's really hard to pull off. It requires making the right choices and avoiding the incredibly stupid ones, even when the person you want the ending for is not in your party yet.

I had to look up an FAQ to figure out how I'm gonna get Nel's ending. I still need to brave Universe some more.
